Surprise! House Resolution celebrating M.J. did nothing to fix economy, create jobs, improve health

Thank you, Reps. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) and Diane Watson (D-CA) for introducing H.Res. 600 celebrating Michael Jackson’s life achievements. These 1,539 words of legislation introduced on June 26 and the time that will be spent on it will no doubt be a waste of lawmakers’ time and taxpayers’ money.

Why couldn’t the Congresswomen just buy Michael Jackson books, CDs, or DVDs and give them to their Congressional peers? That would’ve helped the economy, benefited the Jackson family, and paid tribute to the King of Pop.
