West Point graduate Second Lt. Sophie Hilaire is an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Warrior. In other words, she’s the one defusing bombs and other things that may go ka-boom in your face.
Recently in November she finished a marathon for a charitable cause to support the American Veterans with Brain Injuries.
What’s the big deal, you ask? Well, she ran that marathon in full battle gear.
And she’s only 120 lbs. — merely 35 lbs. heavier than the bomb suit she wore for the run.
We salute you, and congratulations for becoming a world record holder. But more importantly, thank you for your service and heart!
