Auditing the Federal Reserve makes sense

Thank you, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), for introducing H.R. 1207 to allow the GAO to audit the Federal Reserve! It’s also encouraging that the bill has garnered 245 co-sponsors in the House, and a similar bill is floating in the Senate.

Actions by the Fed has a direct impact on the nation’s economy and our wallets. The Fed has operated without Congressional oversight since its inception in 1913, but maybe it’s time to change that especially with President Obama’s proposal to give it more powers.

I suggest a new slogan for Rep. Ron Paul: Transparency we can believe in!

Ron Paul really is the only Transparency we can believe in. I like the slogan. It certainly doesn’t apply to the current administration or the majority of Congress.

Amen! Ron Paul is more of an independent than Joe Lieberman, IMO.
