Senate Democrats are now cooking up plans to reform health care by splitting up the bill: one with budgetary provisions and another with new regulations on insurance. Then they can pass the budgetary bill by reconciliation where only 51 votes are needed, something they think is possible with their 60-seat majority in the Senate.
They are desperate, and in their desperation they accuse the Republicans of partisanship. Yet the truth is that these Democrats show no regard for the American people in their rising opposition of such a massive health care overhaul. The Democrats are under President Obama’s spell to pass it at any cost.
As a citizen, you must question why the Democrats are so focused on ramming health care reform through the process. Why is this so important to them at this juncture? The economy is in shambles and yet they are so concerned about revamping the nation’s health care?
Power and control. Remember how overjoyed Democrats were when they overtook the House and Senate, then the White House? They’ve been starved for power for too long. Now they enjoy majority control, they think they can push their agenda with minimal resistance. What you should be worried now is that they wish to have the say over your health, your well-being. They have previously passed laws to take away your hard-earned money, tax your assets, and redistribute your wealth. They want to go one step further and tell you how to take care of your own body and soul.
What will life be like if we cannot even dictate how to treat ourselves medically? Think about it. Carefully. What the government gives, it can easily take away. Then what will we do?
