During the presidential campaign, Joe the Plumber leaped onto the national spotlight by exposing Obama’s “spread the wealth” tax policy. Now in an interview with ABC News’ Charles Gibson, President Obama discloses that “fairness” is at the heart of his tax policy:
…Well, Charlie, what I’ve said is that I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness…
There you have it. The Fairness Doctrine is alive and well — not in quieting the conservative spectrum on the radio waves, but with respect to federal taxation.
