Typically, women tend to fall for promises of security and safety, and I’m guessing that’s why the White House has dispatched First Lady Michelle Obama to crusade for the Democrat’s health care plan:
As President Barack Obama campaigns to generate backing from voters for his health-care overhaul proposal, the first lady joined the effort today with a more focused pitch.
Michelle Obama said women are being “crushed by the current structure of our health care” because they often are responsible for taking care of family illnesses, arranging checkups and monitoring follow-up care.
Nobody is taking Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) seriously. Then again, Why should anyone? His attempt at bipartisanship resulted in himself standing at the podium to announce the fruit of his negotiations with the Republicans. Evidently, the fruit seems a bit rotten. I bet he’s feeling pretty low considering the first lady is stepping up to the plate to lobby women in this health care debate.
