Obama: No public option

The August recess has been absolutely brutal to members of Congress, especially the Democrats. More interestingly, the anger toward Congress seems to have boiled over and damaged President Obama’s popularity as well. His approval rating has been dropping consistently about a point a day. Now refreshed from an extended family vacation, President Obama and the White House seem ready to compromise in order to have some sort of passable health care reform on the table.
