The Obama campaign would like to refer it as the “tax cut” plan, but Ken Blackwell calls it what it is: income redistribution. He adds that
Some pundits argue that this is Keynesian demand-side economics. It is not. Having the government take money from business entities or affluent individuals and giving it to those who pay no federal income taxes is not Keynesian. It’s Marxist.
You don’t have to be an economist to understand this, just need a dose of common sense. Obama has promised universal nationalized health care and money for college education, but where would that funding come from? The government relies on income tax revenues. Paying for those government programs would then require money from taxpayers. But low-income families don’t pay taxes, so the burden falls on everyone else.
