We are starting to witness the community organizing skills of President Obama in handling our national affairs. President Obama has demonstrated that he’s a man of inaction and indecision, typical of an “organizer.” The bad news for us is that he also holds the most powerful office in the world and commands the world’s best military.
On the War in Afghanistan the President continues to do nothing but hold meeting after meeting to discuss a comprehensive plan because he rejects all the plans presented thus far. Never mind that career generals and military officials from the Pentagon worked on the plans. Does the world’s top community organizer think every outcome and aspect of the War can be planned and re-planned? Supposedly — and we can only hope — he will announce a plan around November 19 upon his return from Asia. That means our brave troops have to bear the burden of uncertainty from their Commander-in-Chief for another week or so.
And what about the rising jobless claims and disastrous economy? Today he revealed a solution: more meetings to talk about the problem, a jobs summit, if you will, to be held in December:
We all know that there are limits to what government can and should do, even during such difficult times. But we have an obligation to consider every additional, responsible step that we can [take] to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country. And that’s why, in December, we’ll be holding a forum at the White House on jobs and economic growth. We’ll gather CEOs and small business owners, economists and financial experts, as well as representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups, to talk about how we can work together to create jobs and get this economy moving again.
Again, more blah-blah-blah from the President. It’s obvious he thinks the government should hold limitless powers, hence the massive stimulus package, the bailouts, the nationalizations, the pay caps, and pushing government health care down our throats. Good luck finding willing CEOs and business owners to attend the December forum, Mr. President. Your policies are destroying their companies.
President Obama doesn’t seem comfortable being a leader. Instead, he continues to live within his community organizer shell. All the while millions of Americans are out of work and losing their homes.
