Did Obama misplay his hand in politicizing oil spill?

I believe President Obama to be a very talented politician. After all, he did run a good campaign and entered the White House. I also believe that he and his inner circle have a far-left agenda for America, and everything they do and plan has only one goal: to take the country farther and farther to the left. We saw it with how the administration handled the economic meltdown. We saw it with its decision to nationalize private corporations. We saw it with health care reform. We saw it with the outreach to the Islamic world. We saw it with selective prosecution coming from the Justice Department.

In handling the Gulf oil spill disaster, I believe the administration was counting on using the crisis against the Republican governors (except Florida Gov. Charlie Crist who recently went independent) of these Gulf states, namely Rick Perry (R-TX), Bobby Jindal (R-LA), Haley Barbour (R-MS), and Bob Riley (R-AL). Jindal happens to be a GOP star rumored to be a 2012 presidential contender, and Barbour is the chair of the Republican Governors Association. Did the Obama administration drag its feet in this environmental crisis with the intention to make these governors look bad?

However, the plan may have backfired as most people point to the federal government for its failure to effectively contain the spill. Not only is BP on a reputation management mode, but the White House as well. Some even dare say that the administration’s handling of this crisis is worse than that of Bush’s during Hurricane Katrina.

Just something to think about.
