The FBI and Justice Department investigated alleged ACORN voter fraud in 2008, but subsequently in March 2009 Justice decided to close the investigation, claiming ACORN did not violate any laws:

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) detailing federal investigations into the alleged corrupt activities of Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). The documents reference serious allegations of corruption and voter registration fraud by ACORN as well as the Obama administration’s decision to shut down a criminal investigation without filing criminal charges.

Voter registration fraud runs rampant at ACORN, but obviously Obama’s top judicial chief refuses to dig deeper and implicate the community organization. Why? Could it be the close ties between Obama and ACORN, as well as a Holder’s own personal ideology in alignment with ACORN’s goals?

President Obama’s intimacy with ACORN is well documented — albeit under-reported by the mainstream media — even during his campaigning days. And even after Obama entered the Oval Office he still has (allegedly) high-profile visitors from ACORN.

As for Attorney General Eric Holder, his leftist ideology is well known and in alignment with ACORN’s mission. They may not be buddies, but they are definitely friends. Add into the mix Obama’s ties, and there’s no need to wonder why Holder won’t investigate ACORN to the fullest extent of the law.
