Rep. John Linder (R-GA) is retiring after 18 years of serving his constituents. A notable fiscal conservative, he’s known as a major proponent of the FairTax and have co-authored a couple of books on the subject. It’s a shame that the FairTax proposal hasn’t gained much traction in Congress and that no significant tax reform was passed during his tenure. Forget about reforming health care — reforming our tax code will do a lot more to help Americans!
