How Dede was wooed by Democrats

Soon after Dede Scozzafava (R-NY) dropped out of the NY-23 race, top Democrats began wooing her to endorse Bill Owens (D-NY). Among those engaged in luring her to the “dark side” included Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY), Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, N.Y. Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, and even Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY). Even the White House may have indirectly intervened.
