Is Obama giving up on Deeds?

The gubernatorial race in Virginia is heating up and Republican candidate Bob McDonnell is polling double digits ahead of Democrat Creigh Deeds. The swing state supported Obama during the presidential election, but now President Obama may not find it useful to visit Virginia in support of Deeds.

This election has garnered so much attention from both sides of the aisle because it’ll give political strategists an inkling of what to expect from now till 2012. Obama’s camp claimed a mandate upon his ascension to the White House, but now we shall see whether Virginians think otherwise after nearly an year into his presidency.

Asians support for Bob Mcdonnell could put our community on the map as last year with Virginia’s AAPI voter turnout reached 61 percent.

Take a look at the difference at the level of Asian support for both candidates. Pictures says a thousand words.

Mcdonnell has worked very hard to gain our confidence while Deeds takes us for granted and have only done two very small events, each with less than 40 asians. can you believe it! No one, not even asians are excited about him.

Thank you for sharing! The photos are great. I’m glad to see McDonnell reaching out to the Asian American communities of Virginia and gaining much of their support. Are there any voter drives aiming to register more Asian voters?
