DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano knows we’re in danger and acknowledges “al-Qaeda-type” terrorists (can we just call them “al Qaeda”?) inside America. She understands the importance of intelligence gathering and analysis, border control, and cyber security. But what’s being done?
The U.S. Attorney General is treating terrorists like common criminals where they’re read Miranda rights and afforded due process. He is investigating CIA agents who were involved in the enhanced interrogation cases, damping morale among U.S. intelligence workers.
Napolitano stripped away immigration enforcement powers from Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio and his office, in a state where illegal aliens are a problem.
So far these actions have only emboldened criminals and terrorists to target America and Americans. And that’s not the mission of the DHS.
