New Jersey looks to privatize public services

in Government

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie continues to annoy state liberals (um, Democrats) by considering privatizing an array of government services, from toll booth operations to prison health care to vehicle emissions tests. The savings? $210 million a year. Consider that, New Jersey taxpayers.

This gentleman understands what’s going on not just in New Jersey, but in the nation as a whole. He is not afraid to piss off unions and big government liberals. To really think about it, he has great faith in the people on NJ who’d elected him to office. Yes, unlike most elected politicians who end up caving into the desires of lobbyists and unions, Gov. Christie demonstrates that he is with the people, and that the people has his back.

What he’s doing in NJ is creating such a national stir that there’s talk of convincing him to run for president in 2012. Now that would be something to see!
