Pelosi’s bluff on health care votes

On Wednesday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) proudly said that she “definitely” has the votes to pass the health care bill. Two days later, we now learn that she’s shy of a few votes to pass such a bill.

Was it just a facade to show Democrats in unity and support? Or just a bluff to lure moderate Democrats and RINOs into voting for it later?

The fact that she did not bring the bill to the floor for a vote sort of hinted at her weak playing hand, knowing how important this bill is to the White House and Democrats.

We must continue to apply pressure to our representatives in rejecting the bill, especially when a public option is likely included as favored by the congressional leadership.
