This thing just won’t die…
Lead zombie President Obama is readying a merged House and Senate health care bill, without any Republican participation, to be presented as early as Sunday or Monday. And the Democrats are going to rush it through by reconciliation:
Those agreements are likely to be combined as a privileged budget reconciliation bill, which only needs a simple 51-vote majority to pass the 100-member Senate instead of the 60-vote supermajority that has become routine in the Senate and gives Republicans power to block the healthcare bill.
“I believe that’s the path we are going to take,” a senior congressional Democratic aide said.
I do not get it. These Democrats are obviously not politicians anymore — they have become something entirely different. A politician would at least act in self interest and self preservation. These Democrats are in denial about the president’s low poll numbers. They are indifferent to the electoral failures in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. They act like the tea parties don’t exist.
The Democrats clearly are no longer in it to keep their jobs. They are in it to destroy the foundation of this country. In a way, they are in a jihad against small government and fiscal responsibility. They are willing to go down hard and take the entire country with them. Get ready for scorched earth, my friends.
