Newsweek, snoozeweek

Is Newsweek even relevant anymore? Sarah Palin — wife, mother, former governor of Alaska, and 2008 V.P. candidate — comes out with a book that’s set records before being released, and all Newsweek wants to show its readers, from an old photo, is that Palin’s an avid runner? The editorial board is clearly unfit to accurately determine what’s newsworthy.

Okay, so I know that Newsweek is in need of more subscribers. Nobody in the print business is doing well, including Newsweek. Sure, maybe this was a plot to generate more purchases of the magazine, but still it was an absolutely poor decision not to use a recent photo of Palin for the cover. And even Palin thought so, too.

Come on, we all know why Newsweek did it. They cannot stand that Palin is so popular! Even more troublesome is probably the fact that Newsweek cannot understand why she’s so popular. It’s simply out of touch with the American public.

Like all mainstream media, Newsweek had lost its way long ago and slumped into the liberal black hole that sucks dry readership and willing advertisers.

I’ll even bet that Palin probably has more readers of her Facebook page than Newsweek has subscribers. Ouch.
