Obama sends in lawyers, asks help from filmmaker in spill crisis

I think we can all agree that BP screwed up royally.

But the latest actions of the administration don’t really instill confidence in resolving the crisis, either.

The Obama Justice Department is going to launch a criminal investigation. As if BP doesn’t already have enough bureaucracy to worry about, now they have to fend off government lawyers, too.

Then there’s this gem: Let’s ask famous filmmaker James Cameron for ideas!

Not to disrespect Mr. Cameron’s talents and works — I am a big fan of his sci-fi hits like The Abyss, Terminator, and Avatar – but seriously? We’re counting on a Hollywood celebrity director/producer to plug an oil pipe in the deep sea?

I can think of other better resources to go to. Come on, America put a man on the moon, ended World War II, won the Cold War, and the best we can do is pick the brain of a filmmaker?!?!

Maybe we can get to see the spill in 3-D now. Thanks, Mr. Cameron!
