Faisal Shahzad had the financial help of So Pir Khan to realize his terror mission of parking a bomb-fitted SUV in Time Square to kill and hurt more innocent people. Now we also know that Khan is an illegal alien, and both the state of Massachusetts and the Boston police knew about this, yet took no action. Khan admitted to his illegal alien status in his taxi driver application, but Massachusetts being a sanctuary state, authorities turned a blind eye to his case:
When Khan applied for a license to drive a taxi, he admitted in writing that he had come to the United States illegally in 1991. The application was submitted to Boston Police but no action was ever taken. Khan easily obtained the cabbie license and regularly drove around one of the nation’s busiest airports with few restrictions. In fact the Boston Police Hackney Division approved Khan’s license to drive a taxi 13 times since he first applied in 1997.
More reason to toughen up our immigration laws and get serious on protecting our borders, don’t you think?
Let it also be a warning to sanctuary states and cities: you may be harboring terrorists.
